Susumu Onishi of teteria and Takashi Tsurumi of Tsurumi Seika will recreate, in a one-day tea party, the memories of the tea and food they encountered while travelling together in Nepal.

"In mid-November, Onishi and Tsurumi visited the Jun Chiyabari tea garden in the mountains of Nepal. The garden has deep ties to TEATON — it produces the exceptionally fine leaves known here as NEPAL BLACK DOPE and NEPAL SUMMER RICH, favourites on our menu since opening. Drawn by their charm, we went to see the landscape where these leaves are born: the mist-covered garden, the beautiful factory, and the people who work there with passion and conviction."

Turning travel memories into sweets is one of Tsurumi's life works. From what they saw and ate, the striking scents drifting on street corners, restaurants and local food, he will prepare a few special plates that exist only for this day.

As a special guest we welcome Mr. Lochan Gyawali, owner of the Jun Chiyabari tea garden, to TEATON. Let's enjoy Jun Chiyabari tea and sweets together while hearing about the garden, the tea, and his thoughts on tea making.
